Professional · Education today for healthier tomorrows
Better home care starts with the professionals pet parents trust.
PetdentistPro™ helps veterinary teams, nurses, groomers, breeders, retailers and equine professionals keep pet parents on a daily oral-care routine, with professional accounts, clinical resources, client hand-outs, samples, wholesale and the Petdentist Academy.
We never diagnose. We refer. We support your home-care conversations.
Accounts, resources, hand-outs, samples and wholesale are available today. The Petdentist Academy is being built module by module.
What it is
The professional and education division of Petdentist®
Short answer: PetdentistPro™ gives the professionals who advise pet parents accurate, compliance-reviewed support for oral home care: verified accounts, clinical resources, client hand-outs, samples, wholesale supply and CPD-style learning through the Petdentist Academy. It exists so that what happens at home backs up what happens in the clinic, and never competes with it.
Every veterinary team knows the pattern. A pet goes home with a clean mouth and an owner full of good intentions. A few weeks later the brush is in a drawer. Soft plaque can begin to harden into tartar within about 48 to 72 hours, so a home routine only helps if it is easy to keep and explained by someone the pet parent trusts. PetdentistPro™ helps every one of those people give the same clear, safe and honest advice.

Who it is for
Built for everyone a pet parent asks for advice
Vets and practice teams
Client hand-outs and product information you can stand behind, samples for the home-care conversation at discharge, and a partner that sends pet parents back to you.
Veterinary nurses and technicians
Coaching resources for brushing and wiping, including gentler first steps for pets that will not yet accept a brush, and Academy modules built around everyday nurse conversations.
Groomers and pet-care businesses
Home-care education with the boundaries built in. Our groomer materials never include scaling or "anaesthesia-free" cleaning, which the American Animal Hospital Association's 2019 dental guidelines describe as "not appropriate".
Breeders and rescues
Starter guidance for new pet parents, so the habit begins in the first week at home: a lip-lift, a lick of pet toothpaste, and a vet check in the diary.
Retailers and distributors
Compliance-checked product copy, staff training and point-of-sale materials, with supply through our wholesale and distribution programme.
Equine professionals
Equine vets, qualified equine dental technicians and yards: Petdentist EQUINE is in development, and we want your input.

How we work with vets
Always with the vet, never instead
We never diagnose
Nothing we publish, sell or build tells a pet parent what is wrong with their pet. In the UK the Veterinary Surgeons Act 1966, and in the UAE Federal Law No. 10 of 2002, reserve the diagnosis and clinical care of animals to veterinary surgeons. We stay well inside that line.
We refer
Every guide carries a "when to see your vet" box, and our care team points anything that needs a veterinary opinion back to the practice. Petdentist CLINICS helps people without one find veterinary dental care.
We support your home-care conversations
Our materials repeat your advice rather than rewrite it. Our products are non-medicinal oral-hygiene products and complementary feeds for healthy pets. We do not offer incentives designed to influence clinical recommendations.
How it fits the Petdentist Daily System
Professional care is step five. PetdentistPro™ helps you coach the other four.
Clean
Brushing and wiping technique, species by species, with a four-week plan for reluctant pets.
Support
Serving guides by body weight for dental powders, and the species cautions that go with them.
Maintain
Water additives, safe toys, and the fingernail test for anything a dog chews.
Monitor
The weekly lip-lift, and PetPulse Dental, in development, which helps owners record changes to share with you. It does not diagnose.
Professional care
The dental check at least once a year, and your clinical judgement. Everything else is built to support it.
Standards and boundaries
Compliance before persuasion
Every word reviewed
On 14 January 2026 the UK Veterinary Medicines Directorate updated its guidance on advertising non-medicinal veterinary products, after more than 400 enforcement reports in a year. Every hand-out, product sheet and Academy module we supply is reviewed against it, and against UAE requirements.
Evidence graded, species kept apart
Every scientific statement carries a grade from A to E, and a claim is never stronger than its evidence. Dog evidence is never used for cats, and human evidence is never used for pets. We never imply an endorsement or an approval we do not hold. Our evidence standards.
A note from our founder
"I am a human dental surgeon, not a veterinary surgeon. My work transfers established human oral biology and preventative care to companion animals through gentle daily home care — alongside, never instead of, your vet." — Dr Deepak Songra BDS
When to see your vet
If you notice loose or wobbly teeth, swelling, discharge, bleeding that does not settle, reluctance to eat, dropping food, drooling, pawing at the mouth or any change in behaviour, please contact your veterinary surgeon promptly. Home care supports professional care — it never replaces it.
Questions people ask
Frequently asked questions
Who can open a PetdentistPro™ account?
Veterinary practices, veterinary nurses and technicians, groomers and pet-care businesses, breeders, rescues, retailers, distributors and equine professionals. We check that you are a registered business or a registered professional before an account opens. Once it does, you can request samples, download clinical resources and client hand-outs, join Academy modules as they open and apply for wholesale supply.
Is the Petdentist Academy accredited CPD?
The Petdentist Academy offers CPD-style learning modules designed to support your own CPD record. We do not describe any module as accredited. If a module gains formal accreditation, the accrediting body will be named on that module, so you always know exactly what you are completing and how to record it.
Do Petdentist® products replace a professional dental clean?
No. Petdentist® products are non-medicinal oral-hygiene products and complementary feeds for healthy pets. They help reduce plaque build-up, freshen breath and support healthy gums as part of a daily routine. Hardened tartar, anything below the gumline and any problem in the mouth need a veterinary surgeon, and our client hand-outs say so plainly.
Can groomers use Petdentist® products during appointments?
Groomers can show pet parents how home-care products such as finger brushes and textured wipes are used, and can suggest a daily routine for healthy pets. Scaling, cleaning below the gumline and assessing any problem are for a veterinary surgeon. The American Animal Hospital Association's 2019 dental guidelines describe anaesthesia-free cleaning as not appropriate, and our groomer resources are written with that boundary built in.
How do I request samples?
Open a PetdentistPro™ account, or email [email protected] with your practice or business details and the products you would like to try. Samples are for your team to try and for showing pet parents how a routine works, so tell us how you plan to use them and we will suggest the most useful mix.
Is the Petsmile® toothpaste you distribute VOHC accepted?
Yes. Petsmile® Professional Pet Toothpaste, which Petdentist® distributes officially, carries the Veterinary Oral Health Council seal for plaque in dogs. That acceptance applies to that specific product and to dogs only. We do not extend it to any other product, or to cats, and our resources say so plainly.
Does Petdentist® offer incentives to recommend its products?
We do not offer incentives designed to influence clinical recommendations. Practices that choose to stock our products buy on trade terms like any other stockist, and what to recommend for any patient always stays with the veterinary team. Our job is to make good home care easier to explain, not to decide what is right for an animal.
Where is PetdentistPro™ available?
PetdentistPro™ supports professionals in the United Kingdom and the United Arab Emirates today, with wholesale supply to the wider GCC. Professionals elsewhere are welcome to get in touch. We expand market by market, because each country has its own rules for how oral-care products can be sold and described.
