PetPulse Dental: notice the small changes, and share them with your vet.
PetPulse Dental is the first app from PetPulse Labs™, the technology division of Petdentist®. It is designed to turn your daily routine and a weekly lip-lift into a dated record your vet can use. It helps you notice and record changes; it does not diagnose or treat.

What it is
Why a record beats a memory
Dogs and cats keep their mouths closed and their discomfort to themselves. The American Animal Hospital Association notes that pets can mask dental discomfort, and that changes in eating or behaviour may be the first clue. A dog has 42 teeth and a cat has 30, almost all of them hidden behind closed lips.
When you do mention something to your vet, the first question is usually: since when? PetPulse Dental is designed to answer it with dated notes and photos instead of a best guess.

Pet parents
Who want a simple habit that makes changes easier to spot, and easier to explain.
Cats and seniors
Cats often hide discomfort, and older pets need closer watching. A weekly record helps with both.
Veterinary practices
Who would rather receive a dated, structured report than a vague description.

What PetPulse Dental is designed to do
Daily routine log
Tick off today's brushing, wipe, powder or water additive in a few taps, and note anything you noticed about eating, chewing, drooling or behaviour. Designed to take about a minute.
Weekly lip-lift photo diary
Guided photos of the front and each side of the mouth, taken the same way each week and shown side by side on a timeline. A quality check asks for a retake if a photo is too dark or blurred. If your pet is not comfortable, you skip: the app never asks you to force a mouth open.
Reminders
Gentle prompts for the daily routine, the weekly lip-lift and routine veterinary dental checks. Non-essential notifications can be switched off, and health details are kept off your lock screen.
Reports for your vet
Turn your notes and photos into a dated report, as a PDF or a secure link that expires and can be withdrawn. Your observations are labelled as yours, and every report states that it does not replace an examination.
The safety engine
The safety rules, in plain words
Some observations should never wait for a trend. If you record something like heavy bleeding from the mouth, sudden swelling of the face, a pet who will not eat, or difficulty breathing, PetPulse Dental stops and tells you to see a vet, promptly or as an emergency. That is all it does. It does not guess the cause, it does not suggest a product, and that message will never sit behind a paywall.
Those prompts come from fixed rules written in advance, not from an AI deciding on the spot. Before launch, the questions, the warning rules and their wording will be reviewed by qualified veterinary professionals, and every later change will be version-controlled.
One more rule: a quiet week is never an all-clear. The app will not tell you that your pet's mouth is healthy, only that nothing you entered needs urgent attention, and that routine veterinary checks still matter.
When to see your vet
If you notice loose or wobbly teeth, swelling, discharge, bleeding that does not settle, reluctance to eat, dropping food, drooling, pawing at the mouth or any change in behaviour, please contact your veterinary surgeon promptly. Home care supports professional care — it never replaces it.
Standards and boundaries
What PetPulse Dental is not
Not a diagnosis
No AI diagnosis. Neither the app nor anyone at Petdentist® will tell you what is wrong from a photo or an answer.
Not a grading tool
It does not grade or stage any condition, and it never gives an all-clear.
Not medical advice
No advice on medicines or procedures. That is your vet's job.
Not an emergency service
If you are worried now, phone your vet or an emergency vet.
Not a substitute for examination
Much of the mouth can only be assessed by a vet, some of it only under anaesthesia with dental X-rays.
Not a shop window
When a warning appears, the next step shown is your vet, never a product.
Privacy and data
Your data, your pet, your choice
Planned platforms
Where you will find it
An app for iPhone and Android, in English and Arabic, for dogs and cats first. Veterinary practices will receive the reports you choose to share through a secure web portal. We will not announce a launch date until veterinary, privacy and security reviews are complete.
The Petdentist Daily System
Step 4: Monitor
PetPulse Dental sits between the daily routine of Clean, Support and Maintain, and Step 5, Professional Care, and helps you notice when professional care is due. When you need a practice, Petdentist CLINICS can help you find one.
Questions people ask
Frequently asked questions
What is PetPulse Dental?
PetPulse Dental is the first app from PetPulse Labs™, the technology division of Petdentist®. It is a routine and observation tracker for dogs and cats: a quick daily log, a weekly lip-lift photo diary, reminders and reports you can share with your vet. It helps you notice and record changes; it does not diagnose or treat.
Can PetPulse Dental tell me whether my pet has a dental problem?
No. It will never tell you what is wrong, grade or stage a condition, or say that your pet's mouth is healthy. It records what you observe and photograph, shows how that changes over time, and prompts you to contact a vet when something you enter should not wait. Only a veterinary surgeon can examine your pet and make a diagnosis.
Does PetPulse Dental use artificial intelligence?
Only in a narrow, supporting role. In the first version, automated checks look at photo quality, for example whether a picture is too dark or blurred to compare, not at your pet's health. The warnings that tell you to contact a vet come from fixed rules written in advance, never from an AI deciding on the spot.
When will PetPulse Dental be available?
It is in development and we have not set a public launch date. The app will be released only after its questions, warning rules and wording have been reviewed by qualified veterinary professionals, and after it has passed privacy and security testing. Register your interest and we will email you when there is news.
Who can see my pet's information?
You can. A veterinary practice sees a report only when you choose to share it, through a secure link that expires and that you can withdraw. We do not sell your data. You will be able to request an export of your records at any time, or delete your account, subject only to legal retention rules.
What if my pet will not let me take photos?
Skip them. The app will never ask you to force your pet's mouth open or to hold a pet who is anxious or uncomfortable, and a skip option is always available. Your written observations are still useful, and many pets learn to accept a quick lip-lift over a few calm weeks, with a reward each time.
Will it work for cats as well as dogs?
Yes. PetPulse Dental is planned for dogs and cats from the start, with questions adapted to each species. Cats often show oral discomfort differently from dogs, for example through changes in grooming or a new preference for softer food, so the questions for cats reflect that.
Will PetPulse Dental cost anything?
Pricing has not been decided, and we will publish it before launch. One principle is already fixed: any message telling you to contact a vet will always be free and will never sit behind a paywall. Safety guidance should never depend on a subscription.
